Independent Contractor Disclosure
Last updated: [DATE: set before publication]
This disclosure applies to individuals who apply for, or are engaged in, the Community Solar Field Representative opportunity or any other field-representative role offered by STRATON X Acquisition Company.
Classification
This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity, not an offer of employment. Contractors control their own schedules and methods of work, subject to applicable law, program requirements, customer-protection standards, and contractual obligations.
Compensation
Compensation is commission based and varies according to individual performance and verified enrollments. No earnings are guaranteed. STRATON X does not promise fixed hours, mandatory daily schedules, guaranteed wages, or employee benefits to independent contractors.
No Guarantee of Engagement
Submitting a job application does not guarantee a contractor opportunity. Any contractor relationship is governed by a separate, signed independent contractor agreement.
Tax Responsibility
Independent contractors are responsible for their own applicable tax obligations, including self-employment taxes, and will receive a Form 1099 reflecting reportable compensation as required by law.
Review Required
This disclosure and the underlying contractor classification, compensation structure, and agreements must be reviewed by a qualified employment attorney familiar with the East Coast law before this opportunity is offered or finalized.
